Student Voice

Student Voice:  6th Year Leadership Team

We have a long and cherished tradition of Peer Leadership in our school. A group of our senior students are chosen by both their peers and the staff, to lead the other students in the school.

• They support and care for our junior students and impart their skills for getting along in school.
• They promote the school ethos and values of Truth, Freedom, Justice, Sincerity, and Joy.
• They lead by example in showing school spirit and encourage the school community to do likewise.

Many students have acted in a leadership role before sixth year, examples of this include membership of the Student Council, Fifth Year duties, Social Committee, Sports Teams, Orchestra, Choir, Debating, Ember Team, Compass Team.

Duties of Loreto Foxrock’s Leadership Team

• Liaising with Principal, Deputy Principal, Staff and Pupils.
• Mentoring the junior classes to which they are assigned.
• Organising and helping with school events (masses, charity events, fun events).
• Representing the school.
• Attending weekly meetings with the Leadership Coordinator.
• Contributing to these meetings in a meaningful way and being respectful of all the other leaders, of their opinions and ideas.
• Making Speeches (Head Girl and Deputy Head Girls).
• Chairing the weekly meetings of the Leadership Team (Head Girl and Deputy Head Girls).
• Attending weekly meetings with the Principal and Deputy Principal (Head Girl and Deputy Head Girls).
