Green Schools is an international environmental education programme that promotes long-term whole school action for the environment. The aim of Green Schools is to increase students’ awareness of environmental issues and to transfer this knowledge into positive environmental action in the school and also in the wider environment.
The Green School’s committee in Loreto College Foxrock consists of representatives form all year groups.
We work together to make our school a more sustainable environment by promoting our motto LCF-Love, Climate First.
In 25/26 we were awarded our first Green Flag for Litter and Waste . We continue with the initiatives for recycling including the use of Re-Turn bins where all money collected is donated to 6 children’s charities. This year we begin the first stage of obtaining our second flag, with a focus on Water. Our committee continues to encourage our school community and promote our sustainable goals.
