Mindful March- ways to mind ourselves

Dear parent(s), Guardian(s) and Students,
Welcome to spring! As yesterday marked the 1st of March, we are hoping to run a Mindful March theme for the month. March is a hectic month for us all and we don’t have a magic wand to get extra time.
However, taking little moments can have a huge impact on our whole body- with studies showing they can reduce stress, increase focus, strengthen relationships and improve our overall wellbeing.
With that in mind, please see attached a poster that will be shared with the whole school community today. The moto/ reminder for this week and month is easy – pause, breath, ponder, choose and do (you don’t have to do all 5!). Even taking 30 secs to pause and take 3 deep breathes (during a class/ while in the car) has a positive impact on our body and mind.
I hope you might find these of benefit to yourselves. If you felt comfortable, you could take this ‘pause and breathe’ with your friends and do with family (no pressure though). These practices can be built into our everyday lives.
You will receive a message with some easy suggestions each Monday during March.
