Dear Parents/Guardians and Students,
Last week we launched our Mindful March theme for the month. March is often a very busy time for everyone, and with that in mind, we encouraged you to take on the motto: pause, breathe, ponder, choose, and do (you don’t have to do all five!). Even taking 30 seconds to pause and take three deep breaths—whether during class or while in the car—can have a positive impact on both body and mind.
When life becomes hectic, our sleep can also suffer. Poor or insufficient sleep can greatly affect us by reducing our energy levels, concentration, focus, patience, and our ability to manage our emotions.
With this in mind, please find attached a poster with five tips to support a good night’s sleep. This will be shared with the whole school community today, and I hope you find it helpful.
These simple practices can easily become part of our everyday routines and help us feel more refreshed when we wake.
You will receive a short message with more easy suggestions each Monday throughout March.
