How to support students in this digital age

Dear Parent(s) and Guardian(s),  

Following on from Internet Safety Day, we have 3 items to share with you. 

1. Cybersafekids held a webinar last Wednesday 25th February with Dr Colman Noctor under the campaign, ‘same rules apply’. The discussion was based on up to date findings and offers supports and recommendations that can be adopted to help support teenagers. Watch here:  Essential Digital Parenting Webinar

2. You may have seen the current advert highlighting what we share online should be the same as what we would share in real life. Watch here: Same Rules Apply video

3. One of our 2nd year SPHE classes have just completed their CBA where the impact of digital technology on teenagers wellbeing was the focus. Attached is a poster with some tips from the findings.

Having open conversations about our activity and behaviour online helps increase awareness and helps students learn how to protect themselves in a digital world.
