Friday marked the end of the first term of 2024/25 at Loreto Foxrock and what a way for it to end!  The talent show was truly astounding. As a parent for a few years at this stage and now also a staff member I was lucky enough to experience the talent show first hand!  To say it blew my mind probably sounds a little strong but it’s true!
The girls performed as solo performers, duos, small groups, class groups and everything in between.  And what a talented bunch! – singers, violinists, guitarists, pianists, dancers, storytellers, comedians…  And even better than the talent on show was the support from the student body for each other! The cheering and whoops of appreciation could be heard by our neighbours in Springfield Park I’m sure! I loved it, the confidence of the girls and the ability to laugh at themselves, all at once.
And then there were the staff, who knew there was so much hidden talent! I won’t name names but whoever it was, they should have put a ring on it!!!  There were shivers down the spine for the beautiful rendition of Fairytale of New York and no-one knew where to look when One Direction took to the stage!! I could go on and on…
They are lucky girls. 
In musical parlance, 2024 that’s a wrap!!
