We are delighted to share some fantastic news from our Art Department.
Congratulations to Jessa Jukic (2 Ward), who has won First Place in Category B (ages 14–15) at the prestigious Texaco Children’s Art Competition. Jessa’s winning entry is a stunning coloured‑pencil portrait of her sister Jolié, beautifully titled “I Want to Be Under the Sea.”
This is a remarkable achievement and a testament to Jessa’s dedication and talent. She spent many hours carefully working on the portrait, demonstrating outstanding skill and attention to detail.
Last Tuesday, April 21st, Jessa attended a media reception with her family at the Herbert Park Hotel, where prize winners were announced to the press. Professional photographs from the event were taken and are shared below with kind permission from Jessa’s family.
Jessa will also attend the official awards ceremony at Druids Glen Hotel on May 27th to celebrate her success.
As part of her achievement, Jessa has received a €450 first prize along with €100 worth of art materials.
