Facilities for sport and fitness in Loreto College Foxrock are excellent. The grounds include a floodlit astroturf hockey pitch at the back of the school while in the front, there is a large astroturf pitch marked and used as tennis courts/basketball courts. This space is also used for athletics, for outdoor exercises and for training for a variety of sports. In addition, there are several grass play areas throughout the grounds which lend themselves to a range of outdoor sport and exercise.
Indoors, students enjoy a large Sports Hall with Basketball court and a fully equipped gymnasium (for use of Senior Cycle students). The gym is equipped with treadmills, cross-trainers, rowing machines, resistance trainers and weights equipment.
The Sports Hall has a store of racquets, bats, balls, shuttlecocks, nets etc. in addition to equipment for athletics, obstacle courses and fun games.
During the summer of 2024 we will be replacing our main hockey pitch with a new state of the art multi-purpose surface.
