Music

Loreto College Foxrock provides the opportunity for all students to become involved in a range of cultural activities as part of the co-curricular timetable.

In addition to providing Music as an exam subject for Junior and Leaving Certificate cycles, our Music Department delivers Music as a co-curricular opportunity. Loreto College Foxrock has 1st Year choir(s), a school choir, string and flute ensembles, trad club and our school orchestra. We perform and compete in Leinster and nationally.

Students may take part in musical activities outside of the classroom. They are encouraged to take part and can avail of tuition to learn to play instruments, to join a choir or to get involved in developing their own vocal skills.

Co-curricular music opportunities include choir, orchestra, school band, guitar lessons and regular ‘music jam sessions take place at lunchtimes to the delight of all those participating and listening.
