Specialist Facilities

Our original school building provides accommodation for:

• 24 x Classrooms,
• 1 x Additional Educational Needs (AEN) Classroom,
• 1 x Science Lab,
• 2 x Home Economics Kitchens,
• 2 x Guidance & Counselling Rooms,
• Large School Canteen with adjoining 6th Year Common Room/Kitchen,
• Staffroom,
• Staff Workroom,
• School Concert Hall

Between 2010 and 2012, following the demolition of some older school buildings and long-time prefab, a new extension was added to the school, comprising:

• 8 x Classrooms,
• 5 x Science Labs
• 2 x Art Rooms
• Music Room
• Library
• Computer Room
• Oratory
• Crafts Room
• Learning Resource Rooms (designed to meet the educational needs of our students)

There are additional locker areas, social areas, administrative offices and a very welcoming Reception area. This wonderful addition to the school greatly enhances the teaching and learning in the school.

In September 2023, we introduced our new Sensory room. A sensory room is a specially designed environment that caters to the sensory needs of a student, facilitating their participation in learning. It is a controlled, sensory-focused space that is intentionally created to support the unique needs of each student. It is a welcome addition to our facilities and represents a powerful tool to facilitate learning.
