Internet Safety Awareness

Dear Parents, Guardians and Students,

As you will be aware, Tuesday was Safer Internet Day. Cybersafe Kids have produced a variety of resources for their “Same Rules Apply” campaign, including a video and an Essential Digital Parenting booklet, to support and help parents guide their children in the digital world.  Supported by the HSE and Accenture, this campaign highlights the need to approach parenting children online in the same way that you approach parenting offline.  Giving your child unsupervised access to the online world means you’re also giving the online world unsupervised access to your child. Remember, Online or Offline, SAME RULES APPLY.

Some of our 2nd year students have been researching the impact of smart phones on their daily lives as part of their SPHE CBA with interesting results. Their project and results will be on display in the school after midterm to view.
