On Monday 13th October our Green Day of Action was held. This coincided with National Climate action week.
 
As part of the initiative a workshop was held for members of the Green School Committee and some TY sustainable development students by Kim O’Driscoll from Education for Sustainability.
In the workshop they got to investigate Climate Justice around the world and some students were even brave enough to try Locusts & Maggots as alternative sources of Protein!
 
The day also encouraged students to walk to school with many ditching the cars and taking in the fresh air. 
 
Competitions were also held on the day. A “How well do you know your Green School” quiz was attempted by all tutor groups. With a tie taking place between the 6B & 6D.
Another contest was held in order to choose our Green School Motto. This has yet to be decided by the Green Committee. Watch this space to find out what it will be……..
