Celebrating Jessa’s Texaco Art Competition Success

We are delighted to share a further update on Jessa Jukic’s success in the Texaco Children’s Art Competition.

On Tuesday, May 27th, Jessa Jukic (2 Ward), accompanied by her family and her Visual Art teacher Ms Norton, attended the official awards ceremony at Druids Glen Hotel, where she received First Place in Category B (ages 14–15) for her stunning coloured-pencil portrait of her sister Jolié, titled I Want to Be Under the Sea.

It was a wonderful occasion celebrating young artistic talent, and we are delighted to share photographs from the day.

Congratulations once again to Jessa on this outstanding achievement — we are extremely proud of her.

TY Camino Update

We were delighted to receive some wonderful photos and updates from our TY students currently completing the Camino.

The girls are making fantastic progress and enjoying every step of this incredible journey together. From reaching important Camino markers to exploring beautiful historic locations, the students are creating memories that will last a lifetime.

It is lovely to see the friendships, teamwork, resilience and positivity shining through along the way.

A huge thank you to the staff accompanying the trip and to everyone sending updates back to the school community. We look forward to sharing more photos and news over the coming days.

Planting Seeds of Hope

1 Poyntz Religion class planted summer bulbs on Tuesday. We busily cleared out old beds, weeding, raking and preparing the ground for new life. We each planted a flower bulb in an organic container and dug a hole in the earth for it. It felt good to be outdoors. Our final task was to water the bulbs and wait for the sunshine to do it’s magic! We look forward to tending the flowers, our seeds of hope, over our time in Loreto Foxrock.

5th Year Italy Trip 2026

Foxrock Games 2026

Last week we had our amazing Foxrock Games and what a fantastic day it was for our school community.

There was a brilliant atmosphere throughout the day with huge energy, teamwork and school spirit on display from all year groups. Events like these would not be possible without an enormous amount of work behind the scenes.

A huge thank you to Joanne Brock for all of her hard work and organisation, and to all staff, students and volunteers who helped make the day such a success. We had over 35 parent volunteers and we would like to thank them for taking time out of their day to join us in the fun.

Athletics Success

It has been an incredibly exciting few weeks for Athletics at Foxrock, with our athletes delivering outstanding performances and achieving fantastic success across multiple competitions.

Our team travelled to Clonmel to compete in the Loreto Athletics competition, where over 30 Foxrock athletes proudly represented the school in a wide range of events. The atmosphere throughout the day was electric, with our students showing tremendous determination, teamwork, and school spirit. Their hard work paid off as Foxrock brought home an impressive haul of medals, while every one of our relay teams secured qualification for their finals.

Competing against 15 schools, Foxrock achieved a superb 5th place overall — a brilliant accomplishment and a testament to the strength of athletics in the school.

The excitement continued at the East Leinster Championships, held over two action-packed days. Once again, our athletes rose to the occasion, delivering exceptional performances and earning even more medals. An incredible five Foxrock students qualified for the Leinster Finals — a huge achievement at such a competitive level.

A special congratulations goes to our standout performers:

Doireann O’Donoghue — 3rd place in the 800m and crowned East Leinster Champion in Javelin
Aoife Murphy — silver medals in both the 1500m and 3000m
Eva Kelly — silver medalist in the 800m
Lauryn Healy — Senior Girls’ High Jump Champion
Eva Munnelly — Senior Girls’ Long Jump Champion

These achievements reflect the incredible commitment, resilience, and talent of our athletes and coach Mr Murphy. We are immensely proud of everyone who competed and represented Foxrock with such passion and pride.

Hockey All Irelands

Our Minor A Hockey Team travelled to Loreto Secondary School Kilkenny in April to compete in the prestigious June Smith Hockey All-Irelands, where they faced the very best school teams from across the country.

Representing the school with incredible pride, determination and skill, the team rose to the challenge in spectacular fashion. After a series of fiercely competitive matches against the provincial champions, our girls secured an outstanding 3rd place finish in Ireland — an extraordinary achievement at national level. Their teamwork, resilience and fighting spirit were on display throughout the tournament and made the entire school community immensely proud.

A very special thank you goes to John Pearson for his unwavering commitment, encouragement and hard work with the team throughout the season.

Staff v 6th Yrs Football Match

Monday’s showdown between our 6th Years and the Staff was nothing short of a thriller! From the first whistle to the final kick, the match was fiercely contested, with both sides battling toe-to-toe in an electric encounter. With the scores still level at full time, the game went to a dramatic penalty shootout. In the end, the Staff narrowly snatched the bragging rights, sealing victory with the very last kick of the ball in a nail-biting finish!

Camogie Semi Final

What a season it has been for our U14 Camogie Team! While it was a tough day against a strong Mount Anville side in the Leinster Camogie Semi Final, the girls should be immensely proud of everything they have achieved this year.

In their very first season together, this incredible young team made history by becoming the first ever school team to enter the Leinster League — and what a journey it turned out to be! Showing tremendous determination, skill, and spirit throughout the campaign, they battled their way all the way to the Leinster Semi Final stage, an outstanding achievement for such a talented squad.

This season has laid fantastic foundations for the future, and there is no doubt that this is only the beginning for this special group of players.

A huge thank you to Ms Slattery and Ms Corcoran for their unwavering dedication, encouragement, and commitment to the team throughout the season. Their guidance has played a massive role in this memorable year for U14 Camogie.
