U14 Badminton National Champions.

Huge congratulations to our incredible U14 A Badminton Team, who have made history as National Champions! This marks the very first national title for the school—an achievement we are immensely proud of and one that will be remembered for years to come.

This outstanding team—Yilin Wu, Tanya Mohanty, Grace O’Callaghan, Yashvi Rajesh Kannan, Sarah O’Callaghan, and Darcey Lavin—have shown extraordinary dedication and determination throughout the year. Their hard work has paid off in spectacular fashion, securing a clean sweep of all three major titles: Dublin, Leinster, and now the National Championship.

Behind this success lies countless hours of training, commitment, and teamwork. The effort these girls have put in, alongside the guidance and support of their fantastic coach Ray, has been nothing short of inspiring—and they truly deserve every bit of their success and those gold medals.

We look forward to celebrating this remarkable achievement properly in school next term. From all the staff and students in Foxrock, a massive well done to an exceptional group of athletes!

Hockey Stars Representing Loreto College Foxrock

A huge well done to our three students who represented the school with pride over the Easter weekend in international hockey tournaments.

Aoife May (2nd Year) played with the Leinster U16 team as they travelled to The Hague.
Anna Forde (2nd Year) was part of the Irish U16 squad who travelled to Germany, where she scored her first international goal.
Siobhán Emerson (TY) travelled with the Irish U18 squad to France.

We are incredibly proud of all three girls for their dedication and achievements!

Easter Hockey Camp – A Great Success!

We were delighted to host a very successful Easter Hockey Camp in Loreto College Foxrock last week.

The camp welcomed students from a variety of schools, all of whom brought great enthusiasm, teamwork, and commitment to each session. It was wonderful to see skills developing and confidence growing throughout the week.

A special thank you to our coaches for their time, expertise, and encouragement, which made the experience so positive for all involved.

Well done to everyone who took part, it was a fantastic few days on the pitch!

Congratulations to Audrey Sereda who recently placed runner-up in Grainne Monks Prize in Trinity College’s Kate Maher Public Speaking Competition. The Grainne Monks Prize is for Senior Cycle students and invited entries on the relationship between gender and power. Audrey has been invited to Trinity College this Wednesday with other finalists to deliver her speech in the Debating Chamber.

We also want to wish Audrey good luck for the finals of the FAS Public Speaking Competition in Dunshaughlin on Tuesday evening.

Junior A Loreto League Champions

What a moment for our incredible Junior A hockey team! Captained by the outstanding Lucy Byrne, the girls powered their way to a victory over St Stephen’s Green in this week’s thrilling Loreto League final in Dalkey.

From the very first whistle to the final play, this team showed unstoppable determination, skill, and teamwork — a true reflection of the commitment and hard work they’ve put in all season long.

A massive thank you to their coach, Ms Irwin, whose passion, guidance, and belief in the team helped make this success possible.

We couldn’t be prouder!

Minor B – Loreto Winners

They stormed to victory in the Loreto final today, delivering a dominant display and sealing a fantastic 3–0 win over Loreto Beaufort. Skill, teamwork, and determination on full show — a result to be truly proud of!

Congratulations and Good Luck to Aoife Murphy

Having finished in the top 10 at cross country nationals at the start of this month, 3rd Yr Student Aoife Murphy qualified to run for the Irish Schools Team. Aoife travels to Wales this weekend to race in an international competition representing Ireland.

Minor A Leinster Cup Winners

Congratulations to our wonderful Minor A Hockey team who beat Mount Sackville yesterday in their Leinster Hockey final.

Captain Anna Forde scored the winning goal and a strong effort from the whole squad got them over the winning line. The girls now go on to the June Smith All Ireland competition on April 16th in Kilkenny.

A big thank you to Foxy and our wonderful supporters and parents who got behind the team.
