“Today, we as a school community gather to commemorate but also to celebrate young lives well lived and packed to the full. We celebrate the unique memories and the joy of youth traced invisibly, but indelibly, on every corridor and classroom around us. We celebrate our indescribable good fortune in having Olivia, Eimear and Aoife as members of our community, and ours of theirs... When you have forgotten much of what we strive to teach you, you will remember today.” Claire Molloy, Year Head Class of 2012
Today, 11th December, why not join in with our whole school 5km 'Jingle Bell Fun Run/Walk' in Cabinteely Park. Costumes are looking fantastic here this morning. Training is complete! The food and drink has arrived. All the girls are now ready for the big day.
We are hoping for dry weather, and you are more than welcome to come along to the park - join in with the running or cheer the girls on.
Don't forget: Sponsorship cards due in on Monday 14th December at Tutor time.
Last few days for getting sponsorship - never too late and we know you'll all make a MASSIVE effort!
We want to say a very big 'THANK YOU' to the parents and the local community who have been so generous with their donations helping to make this what we know will be a hugely successful event.
'In Hope and Remembrance' - in aid of the Aoife Beary Trust
and in memory of our beloved past pupils Olivia Burke and Eimear Walsh.
